“The Artisans of Stone create diverse works starting with natural stone and wood, specially engraved, then smoothed and polished. They began their enterprise in 2001, combining their talents and passion for medieval art and for decorative designs. They use their own designs to carve into different types of stone, resulting in unique and exclusive. Research into the Ars Canusina design is original and combines medieval art and decorative designs, enriching the objects they adorn with decorations based on this ancient and unique art style derived from the Emilia region of Italy.
The artisans carve their own designs into different types of stone with unique and exclusive results. Some of their designs combine the warmth of expertly carved wood, the art of embroidery, and engraved decorated stone.
Their works are used for home furnishings as well as public areas, both for indoors and outdoors: fireplaces, furniture, coverings, signs, and small and medium sized furnishings.
Our products are of the highest quality and offered as unique articles and limited series. Our works are hand crafted with ultimate care. Our illustrations are used both on stone and on embroidered items. Special projects are planned and made to order. The workshop is open to the public by reservation.”
