The Four-course Tuscan Dinner
“The cuisine of Tuscany – lovingly known since days of yore as the “peasant food that’s fit for a king!” The delicious wines of Chianti were created to accompany the simple, genuine dishes of the Tuscan table. The meal that you will prepare will consist of an antipasto, a primo (pasta or risotto), a secondo (meat or fowl) with contorno (side vegetable) and a dessert. Everything of course, rigorously from scratch and using only the freshest ingredients. You’ll enjoy your unforgettable meal, accompanied by the fine wines of Chianti – a Chianti Classico, a Classico Riserva and a Supertuscan – all from the best of Chianti’s small boutique producers.
Classes are totally hands-on. We all roll up our sleeves and pitch in with the cooking – learning while we talk about the food, the cuisine, its history and traditions. As you learn to prepare the recipes of the day, our conversations will cover technique, tricks and tips to make your cooking at home easier and more fun. After the meal has been prepared, we all sit down to our convivial table to enjoy it together. At the end of the class we send you off with a booklet of the day’s menu and recipes as well as a small parting gift as a token of our friendship and appreciation.”
